Glenn V Stewart

GLENN VAL STEWART was born on November 18, 1957 in Westmoreland, Jamaica West Indies to the late Alice Morris and raised by guardians the late Rev. John and Dollie Smith. In 1970 he migrated to the United States and settled in Brooklyn, New York.
 
Glenn was determined to succeed in the United States. He attended college and worked for the Board of Education for 17 years.  He began a second career as a correctional officer with the New York City Department of Corrections where he served for 21 years. Glenn’s interest were cars and fashion.  He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, a spiritual leader of the family and the community. 
 
It’s important for all to know that Glenn was an upstanding man.  He was encouraging, witty and there was never a dull moment. Glenn loved the Lord, family and truly cared for people. He never met a stranger.  Glenn made friends with everyone he met and always left a pleasant memory.  
 
Glenn departed this world on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
 
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Pat, two daughters Ashley and Tomeika; his sister Gloria Finlayson, 3 nieces: Marcia, Winsome, Verna, 4 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
