Agatha "Aileen" Nanton, a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, sadly left us on May 27th, 2023, at the age of 61, after a courageous battle with cancer, spending her last days surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
She was born on January 31st, 1962, to Belita and the late Carlos, in Clare Valley, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Aileen had a natural zest for life and a rebellious spirit growing up. She attended Intermediate High School in Kingston. At 18, Aileen migrated to New York. She enrolled in the Adelphi Institute, where she attained a secretarial degree. Aileen worked in the financial industry for over 20 years. After her career in the financial sector, she found her way to a career as a home health aide, providing assistance and care for those in need.
As a woman of faith, Aileen was a devoted member of the New Hope Family Worship Center, where she attended service and was a part of the Team Hanna prayer and bible study group and the Usher department.
Aileen was a kind person with a beautiful smile and a big heart, always willing to put the ones she loved before herself. She was always ready to work tirelessly to ensure her family always had what they needed. Aileen was hard-working but made sure to enjoy life. She lived, loved, laughed, and will be remembered by many.
Her husband, Michael; daughters Tinisha and Timikka; grandchildren Jahdae, Jahzara, Jahi, Jahdiya, and Tsehai; mother, Belita; sisters, Diane, Wendy, Beverly, Andy, Jillian, Raquel, and Sheldean; brothers Reynold, Charlie, Nigel, and Nolly; cousins, Carlton (Will) and Roslyn; nephew, Kashif; numerous family members and friends will forever love and greatly miss Aileen.
