Carolyn Lytch Obituary

Carolyn D. Lytch was born to Sarah and Willie Grover Lytch in Kings County hospital on July 20th, 1957. She was the youngest of 2 children.

Growing up Carolyn was fun, energetic and a Boss in her own right. She loved Cooking, Drawing and Puzzles. She was a lover of all genres of music. She resided with her mom Sarah E. Lytch in Van Dyke Houses in Brownsville Brooklyn, New York before moving to Amboy Street where she permanently resided with her family.

Carolyn graduated from Southshore High School to pursue a nursing career. After having her first child, she started working at a factory in Midtown N.Y. During this time, she had her second child, then decided to stay home to raise her family.

Carolyn was a very social person She knew everyone in the neighborhood and they all called her Jazz. She attended all the neighborhood events. The event she looked forward to the most was Old Timers Day, especially the music that was played there seeing all the performances from her teen years.

Her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, getting the family together, cooking big meals and making sure all our friends in the neighborhood ate. She also cared for the neighborhood kids.

Carolyn's sister Arnetta Jones preceded her in death. Carolyn was called home suddenly on Thursday April 30, 2020 where her Mother Sarah E. Lytch has a place waiting for her with loving and open arms.

Carolyn leaves to mourn, but cherish her memory, her four children Anthony J. Foster Jr., Chantel N. Foster, Ijyaina Lytch and Tajon Lytch; her nephew Kevin Davis; 11 grandchildren Sierra, Micah, Mario, Makayla, Miliea, Jahmere, Aniya, Brooklyn, Xavier, Gabriel ,Deontre and Cjay; a host of relatives, friends and neighbors.
