Heaven’s Gate opened up on June 25, 2021 and God received a magnificent Spirit into HIS kingdom. This admirable Spirit was Gerald Keith Guess.
Gerald Keith Guess was born in Brooklyn, New York to Samuel Thomas and Betty Jean Guess on August 12, 1961. Samuel and his brother Melvin Guess preceded him in death.
At an early age, Gerald gave his life to Christ and joined the Bethelite Institutional Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York where he served in many auxiliaries.
He was educated in New York Public Schools and graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School, Brooklyn, New York.
After high school, Gerald pursued a variety of interests. He was a free-lance mechanic after his father introduced him to his love for cars. Gerald was a natural and became a true car enthusiast. He had a generous spirit and would fix anyone’s car regardless of the situation or place. He took great pleasure in enjoying and appreciating all types of cars for reasons beyond their basic value of simply transporting people from point A to point B.
Gerald was a third-degree Mason of St. Marks, Lodge 11 and after relocating to Reading, Pennsylvania, worked as a metal fabricator for AW Mercer.
He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to tell stories and make others laugh. No matter what room he entered, his energy always radiated and captivated his audience and the atmosphere.
His family and friends will sorely miss Gerald and his memory will forever live in our hearts.
