Latisha Thompson was born to Delores Wyman and Leonard Thompson on August 12, 1982 in Brooklyn NY. After some medical challenges and setbacks, she departed her life Wednesday March 3, 2021
Latisha received her education in the NYC public schools system and graduated from Parkwest High School. Latisha then went on to receive many certifications in various careers; HHA, Medical billing, Art Institute, and Culinary School. She was employed by transit for 15 yrs.
Latisha was unusually generous, kind hearted, very respectful, and loved by so many. She loved cooking and always helping her friends and family, and in her smile we all saw something more beautiful than the stars. We are truly thankful to God for entrusting her to us and for the time he allowed her to be with us. She will truly be missed.
Latisha was preceded in death by her step-father, Rufus “June” Capers; grandmothers, Ednamae Wyman and Carrie Lee Thompson; aunts Deborah Thompson and Cynthia Wyman; uncle, Vernon Simpson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Jospehine and Tamia Haughton; mother, Delores Wyman; father, Lenord Thompson all of Brooklyn, NY; fiance, Isaiah Haughton of Brooklyn NY; brother, Jermaine Wyman of Pennsylvania; brother, Bernard Thompson of Brooklyn, NY; brother, Daniel Law of Bronx, NY ; and sister, AleeLah Thompson of Spartanburg, PA; god sister, Faatima Martin of Brooklyn NY; three aunts, Julia Shepherd of Brooklyn NY, Rennia Thompson of Richmond Virgina and Carol Thompson-Simms of Brooklyn NY; three uncles, David (Etta) Brown of Brooklyn NY; Julius Wyman of Bronx NY; Rodeny Thompson of New York, NY; two best friends, Victoria Dickinson and Mona Baker; six nephews and four nieces; host of cousins, relatives and friends.
