Sister Naomi’s Favorite Scripture
Romans 3:21-23 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Naomi Hollins was born to Bessie Hollins on December 12, 1952 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Naomi Hollins later moved to New York to live with extended family.
Naomi received her education in the New York City School System and graduated from Long Wood High School in 1971. Naomi later attended the State University of New York at Farmingdale, New York. Naomi received her Associate Degree in Early Education on December 21, 1973.
In 1977, Naomi accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized at The Holiness Church of Jesus Christ, under Pastor the late Bishop Thomas J. Boston, where she continued to worship and serve the Lord, teaching Sunday School and being a blessing to God’s Church.
Naomi was employed by the City of New York at the District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York as an administrator from October 1989 to August 2012, when she retired.
Naomi was mild mannered, had a kind heart, a true sister and friend to those who knew her. Naomi would assist to help in any way she could.
Naomi made her transition on May 27, 2020 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. We are thankful to God for entrusting her to us and for the time he allowed her to be with us. She will surely be missed.
Naomi leaves to cherish her memory her siblings, Paula Romero, Cynthia Romero and Walter Romero, her church family, and a host of friends.
