Patricia King was born to Lela Belle King and James King, Sr. on January 24, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York, the first born of three children, Patricia King, Jimmy King and Carolyn King. God Called his daughter home on June 11, 2020 after suffering from and fighting a brief illness.
Patricia received her education at Thomas Jefferson High School. She was a loving mother of nine. Her door was always open to family and whomever else she welcomed.
Patricia loved to go out dancing and have a few drinks, but her favorite was to go to the casino with her sister, Carolyn and her baby girl, Presteen. Nothing brought her more joy than being with her sister and children. She always said, “if anything happens to me, make sure that our family stays together.” She was a Queen and will remain a Queen in our eyes and in our hearts.
Her favorite saying was, “Where’s my money?”
Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Lela Belle King; her father, James King, Sr.; her brother, James King, Jr.; her husband, Willie Branch and cousin, Regina King.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memories her sister, Carolyn King; her sons, James King, Nelson Hall, Deshawn King, Jazman King and Preston King; her daughters, Lashawn Greene, Misty Blue, Tiffany King, Crystal King and Presteen King; twenty- seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, seven nephews, ten nieces, a host of cousins and friends.
