Selena James was born on December 18th, 1965, the youngest of four children; born to Mr. Harold R. James and Rosezell McKune James. Selena a premature baby was truly a baby of God’s will, born weighing 1 pound, 12 ounces at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
Selena lived in Brooklyn most of her life and enjoyed visiting her late father, grandmother, and grandfather in South Carolina. Selena attended public school 67 in Brooklyn; Epiphany Lutheran School; and she graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls. Selena also graduated with an Associates Degree from ASA College.
Selena worked as a school Crossing Guard. She loved children and that’s why she also worked as a School Safety Officer. Selena also worked as Home Attendant. She liked helping people.
Never married and didn’t have any children, however, her ten nieces and nephews were her children and her eight great nieces and nephews. She loved music and had a beautiful voice. Selena like dancing, concerts and she enjoyed being out. She also liked drawing, poetry, and writing. Her penmanship was exceptional; and she was very astute at them all.
Selena was a people person who loved her family. She always wanted to know if everyone was alright. She was predeceased by her older brother Ronald. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Rosezell; sister Yvette and brother Richard; her uncle Rommel and sister-in-law Waveney and many cousins and friends.
